Eat Local Pizza ("we", "us") runs the restaurant at 801 Red River Rd, Thunder Bay, Ontario, and this website, eatlocalpizza.ca. This page explains what information we collect when you use the site, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it in plain language.

What we collect

Information you give us. If you call, email, or contact us about catering or anything else, we receive whatever you share with us (your name, phone number, email, and your message). We use it to respond to you and to arrange your order or event, nothing else.

Information collected automatically. With your consent, this site uses Google Analytics to understand how people use the website, and the Meta (Facebook) pixel to measure our advertising. These tools use cookies and collect things like the pages you visit, the buttons you click (for example the Order Online button), your approximate location, and your device type. They do not give us your name.

What we do not collect. This website does not take payments and does not collect payment information. When you place an online order, you do so on TouchBistro's ordering platform (order.tbdine.com) or Skip the Dishes, and their privacy policies apply to the order itself.

Cookies and your consent

When you first visit, a consent banner asks whether you accept cookies for analytics and advertising. You can reject them and the site works exactly the same. You can change your mind any time using the cookie settings icon on the site.

How we use information

We use the information above to operate and improve the website, to understand which of our pizzas and deals people are interested in, to measure whether our local advertising is working, and to respond when you contact us. We do not sell personal information to anyone.

Who we share it with

The analytics and advertising tools we use are provided by Google and Meta, and the data they collect is processed by them under their own policies. Online ordering is handled by TouchBistro, and delivery ordering by Skip the Dishes, on their own platforms. We do not otherwise share your information unless the law requires it.

Email

If we ever offer an email list, you would only receive emails if you signed up, every email would include an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing would always work the first time. That is both the law in Canada and how we would want to be treated.

Keeping information safe

We keep the information we hold only as long as we need it, and we limit who can access it. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

You can ask us what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details below and we will sort it out.
